Politics, Parties, and also people like us are often defined as left, right, center. But what does this actually mean? Why do we call it like this? Which is the center, then, and who defined it? Who do we choose to define, how and why? Can we use different stories to explain our reality? Do the categories mean the same everywhere?

With the re-emergence of right–wing ideologies and parties, which erode the liberal mask of modern exploitative capitalism, answering these questions can help to position ourselves as organisations, collectives, and as individuals. We have to make sense of a changing world of multiple intersecting crises, and the first step might be to re-evaluate our own position in all of it.

In this camp, we will explore the limits, the contradictions, and also the potentials of defining politics across a spectrum. We will look at the origins of this story, how it is being used and manifested in our different realities. Together, we will try to explore the grey zones of the spectrum, and try to imagine where we can go when we define things differently. Can we leave this story behind and move beyond the harsh reality that birthed it? Do other stories exist? Or do we have to write new ones?
